Trees will clap their hands

Isaiah 55:12
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.KJV
I was out walking in the falling snow with my sister and our two dogs. The scenery was so beautiful. When I previewed the photos I had taken, this one brought the above scripture to mind. While we were out walking it was like the trees were singing. The dogs were running and playing like a couple of kids. My sister and I was laughing and enjoying the wonderful day our Father created for us.

May you have a blessed and wonderful day.

His Mercies

Lam 3:22-24

22 It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
KJV

I am so thankful our loving Father, is full of compassion toward us. Each day is a new beginning in Him. My hope is in the Lord. He is my strength, my healer, my provider, my friend anything I need He is that. He has said "I am".

Our Children

Isaiah 54: 13
And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.

I am so thankful that our Father knows a mother's heart. He knows that we do worry over our children; not just when they are small but as they mature and become adults.
I think for myself it has been harder for me once my sons got married, because when they hurt I can't do much for them except pray.
When they were small I could hold them and kiss away most of their hurts. But as they have families of their own it isn't quite that easy to deal with. I have to be careful and consider their wife in the situation.
I am so thankful I can take their hurts and disappointments to the Lord and my Father will take care of my children for me.
Great will be the peace of my children. I hold that promise close to me and continue to thank God for this peace for my children, even when I can't see it in their life at the moment.

Expecations

I am so thankful that our Heavenly Daddy listens to us. We can bring our requests to Him in the morning and wait in expectation for Him to answer our requests.

Rejoicing in the day!

Ps 118:24
24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. KJV

I have a choice when I get up in the morning of beginning my day being thankful or getting up grumpy and out of sorts. If I get up with a joyful attitude my whole day goes better. When I get up with a rotten attitude it seems that my whole day goes that way. I know I make the choice if I am going to rejoice and be glad for this day. How about you? Do you find when you begin the day thanking God for His goodness and peace that you day goes better than if you don't? Do you find if you get up out of sorts that everyone around you seems that way also.
The Lord said He has made this day. We are to choose to rejoice in it.
As I was reading this scripture this morning, I had got up to let my dog out and realized it was snowing. Now I was supposed to go to Salem (about 25 miles away) for some lab work. When I saw the snow instead of getting upset I just changed my plans for the day. I am enjoying the beauty of the snow. My dog loves for me to throw snowballs so she can catch them. What could have turned out to be a bad day by my getting upset over the weather has turned out to be a fun day.
I don't know about you, but I intend to enjoy my day and even rejoice and be glad in it.

God's way is Perfect

Ps 18:30-33
30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
31 For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?
32 It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
33 He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places.KJV

I am so thankful that God is not only perfect, but He will help us to become perfect in Him. I don't know about you, but I have tried and proved the word of the Lord to be true. There has been many trying times in my life and the Lord has been my strength through all of them.

The more I trust Him, the more real He becomes. I know if things are not going quite right or if I feel empty in my Spirit that it is not the Lord's fault. It is mine, because I've allowed things to creep into my time I need to be spending in the Word and prayer.

I want 2007 to be the year of the unusual for me. It is exciting to see the changes the Lord is making in me as I walk closer to Him.

He has put a bounce in my step and a smile on my face. I have hope, joy and peace in my life, even in the midst of the storms. Praise His Holy Name!

Aglow and Burning for the Master!

Romans 12:11 (Amplified Bible)
11 Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord.

As life seems to be moving at such a rapid pace, we sometimes get in such a hurry we slip up on our prayer time and Bible reading. Life goes so much better when we begin the day with a talk with the Master.
I wonder sometimes if we fed our spiritual man the same way we feed our physical man how different our lives would be.
If we fed our physical man the way we feed the spiritual man what would our life be like?
May you have a blessed day in the Lord. Remember to be aglow and burning with the Spirit.

The Thief

John 10:10
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. KJV
Jesus was talking to his disciples as well as the people who came to hear him minister. He is explaining to them about a Good Shepherd. In verse 10 Jesus is talking about Satan being the thief. Satan is out to try to steal our joy, our hope, and our peace. I believe he is doing this by putting us into dificult financial situations, stealing our health, and in so doing steals our hope. If he can get a toe in the door, it enables him to get a stronghold in our life that will begin to eat away at our security in the Lord. If satan can kill our spirit then he has won. However, Jesus says "greater is He that is within us than he that is in the world." I John 4:4b
Satan is out to destroy marriages, family life and anything else he can take from us. But Jesus says in the rest of that verse "I have come that you might have life and that more abundantly". The Lord has been showing me that Satan can't take anything from me unless I allow him to do so. I am determined after wandering in the wilderness for over 40 years that I am changing my life around with the help of Jesus and will live the abundant life!!
